Graduate Students:
Jeremy Rurup (Fall 2020 – present): Jeremy’s research interests are centered around the fabrication of electronics on 3D components, such as large, molded structures. He is currently focused on advancements in aerosol jet printing, especially related to conformal printing and manufacturing reliability. Jeremy has prior industry experience working with fiber-reinforced composites, and is pursuing his PhD degree.
Bella Guyll (Fall 2022 – present): Bella’s research interests include battery production and diagnostic systems. This includes the ability to print microbatteries and tailor direct recycling regeneration techniques to various failure mechanisms of lithium-ion batteries. Bella is pursuing her PhD degree and is co-advised by Prof. Cary Pint.
Daniel Yeboah (Spring 2024 – present): Daniel’s research focuses on materials development for aerosol jet printed electronics. This includes ink formulation and process design to enable conformal integration of electronic devices on curved, 3D surfaces. Daniel is pursuing his PhD degree.
Md. Ramjan Ali (Spring 2024 – present): Ramjan’s research is centered on the development of printed dielectric nanocomposites for electronics. This includes materials design that incorporates electronics, mechanical, and thermal characteristics for high frequency electronics. Ramjan is pursuing his PhD degree.
Garrett Clasen (Fall 2023 – present): Garrett’s efforts focus on hybrid electronics that integrate printed components with conventional active and passive devices. This includes elements of materials and process development. Garrett is pursuing his MS degree.
Andrew Schwartz (Spring 2024 – present): Andrew’s work is focused on process control and reliability for aerosol jet printing. This work advances in-line process monitoring tools to create a more consistent and controllable manufacturing process. Andrew is pursuing his MS degree.
