Abstract
This award supports an investigation of the use of virtual reality in product design. This past year the focus of the work performed included investigating the use of virtual reality in both virtual prototyping and engineering analysis areas of the product development process. Two applications were developed: a virtual environment for performing free-form surface deformation and a virtual environment for interacting with computational fluid dynamics results.
