A second group of courses, typically in the second year of the program, is called the Mechanical Engineering Foundations. As with the Basic Program courses, students must complete the Foundations courses with a GPA of 2.00 or better.

- EM 274- Statics
- Mat E 273- Materials
- Math 267- Differential Equations
- ME 231- Thermodynamics I
- EM 324- Mechanics of Materials
Core GPA and Enrollment Rule
In order to enroll in specified Mechanical Engineering Core Courses, you must complete the Mechanical Engineering Foundations group of courses with a GPA of 2.00 or better.
